FEBRUARY

The hunting and tourist event “Šakalijada” is organized on the slopes of Fruška Gora in the vicinity of Novi and Stari Slankamen. The event is different from the others that take place during the year in the municipality of Inđija and gathers about 500 hunters from the country and abroad.

MAY

After a ten-year break, the 20^th jubilee “Sremska potkovica” will be held in Novi Karlovci on St. Mark’s Day. The sports and recreational event will bring together numerous competitors who will compete in various disciplines, such as two-team with obstacle cones, four-team with obstacle cones, multi-team etc.

The competitive gastronomic event has been held since 2008 in Stari Slankamen, on the banks of the Danube in May, around the holiday of St. Nicholas (summer).

Feeder Cup Memorial Đorđe Simic Simke is a competition in sport fishing in the discipline of feeder. It has been held since 2017 and brings together numerous fishing clubs from all over Serbia.

JUNE

The ethno colony of embroidery and gold embroidery will be held in the Celtic Village in Inđija at the beginning of June, organized by the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Inđija, the Municipality of Inđija, Ethno Network and NALED, and under the auspices of the Embassy of the United States. During three days, women from different parts of Serbia are perfecting their embroidery and gold embroidery skills.

The international Inđija Pro Poet Festival has been held in Inđija since 2017, with the aim of supporting literary creativity and introducing the general public to contemporary literary trends in the world.

The event is held every year on the day of the celebration of the city’s holiday of Pentecost (Duhovi) in the pedestrian zone of Inđija. It gathers a large number of exhibitors from Inđija and Serbia who present traditional food and drink, souvenirs, handicrafts and old crafts. This year, for the first time, within the Ethno Festival, the event “Neka grli se sever i jug” (Let the North and the South Embrace) will be held in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of Niš with the aim of presenting the differences between the north and the south of Serbia.

In June 2018, the Fruška Gora Wine Festival was organized for the first time. It was organized by the Association of Winemakers “Vina Inđije” on the plateau near the Vojnović House in the centre of Inđija and about 20 exhibitors presented their wines. With the intention of making the festival traditional, it has been held each year since, on the day before the celebration of the city’s celebration of Pentecost (Duhovi).

Shakespeare Festival is held in Čortanovci, in the beautiful ambience of Villa Stanković. For three days, the audience is shown contemporary world productions based on plays by William Shakespeare, under the open sky, as it was in his time.

JULY

A large number of motorcyclists from the country and abroad gather in the area next to the city pool in Inđija in mid-July. During the festival, concerts of famous rock bands and the already traditional ride of motorcyclists through the city are organized.

“Overtake car tuning” festival is held in the pedestrian zone of the city in mid-July and gathers many fans and owners of unusual and modified cars. Class competitions in styling, performances by local bands and DJs attract numerous visitors.

At the end of July, the International Art and Poetry Colony, which brings together artists from all over the world (painters, actors, poets, singers), is being organized in the pleasant atmosphere of the Jakšić family home in Krčedin.

The open-air summer festival presents a large number of important works of art to the public: theater performances, films, concerts, promotions. With its concept, “Scena Fest” has become one of the most serious summer festivals in the country and a cultural model according to which many other festivals in the region have been realized.

The event has been held since 2000 in Novi Slankamen on the plateau near the Community Centre. It brings together numerous cultural and artistic societies from the country and abroad and local exhibitors of handicrafts, domestic products and fruits.

AUGUST

Every year in Stari Slankamen at the beginning of August, the Municipality of Inđija and the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Inđija welcome the International Danube Regatta. For the participants of the regatta, accommodation is provided in tents on the grounds of the hospital/spa (Slankamenačka banja), a tourist tour of the settlement, lunch and a music program in the evening. It has been organized since 1955.

The event “Dunavske čarolije” is held on the bank of the Danube in Čortanovci. Numerous sports disciplines and activities such as running, cycling, orienteering, diving, walking are just a part of the program of the event intended, above all, for lovers of sports and nature.

SEPTEMBER

The event “Beška Fest – Days of Vojvodinian-Bavarian Culture” will be held on Friday and Saturday, 2^nd and 3^rd September 2022 in Beška, on the court for small sports. With its international character and a rich variety of content, the event attracts a large number of visitors, lovers of good entertainment and gastronomy. A gastronomic festival, a rich cultural, artistic and musical program are organized in the specific Vojvodinian-Bavarian atmosphere. The performances of numerous cultural and artistic societies, tamburitza musicians, as well as pop-rock concerts will be complemented by a rich offer of gastronomic specialties, craft beers and local wines.

Maradička jesen is a traditional event. Visitors can try cooking in cooking cauldrons (kotlić) and enjoy numerous sports competitions. The event is diversifying every year and nurtures the spirit of multiculturalism.

This event is of a traditional character. Vojvodina’s wineries, wines and wine tourism are promoted at the event. The event is extremely well attended and visitors can taste wines on the spot.

“Short cut” Festival – a short film festival is held in September, on the plateau near the Vojnović House in the centre of Inđija. During the festival, visitors have the opportunity to watch numerous films in the field of tourism, ecology and life in general.

The competition in the preparation of game stew in a cauldron called “Lovačka priča” is held in the centre of the village, near the café of the same name and brings together many chefs from the area.

The event “Dani meda” consists of honey sales and exhibition and is held every year in Inđija at the end of September. For two days, exhibitors present honey, bee products and beekeeping equipment.

OCTOBER

The Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Inđija and the Municipality of Inđija, in cooperation with Inđija winemakers organize the event “Vino i gitare” at the Celtic Village in Inđija. Listening to the tamburitza music, visitors can enjoy quality wines and domestic products from local producers.
